Safeguarding Support Officer

Our volunteer Safeguarding Support Officer (PSSO) is Lily Murcutt, who will support the Parish Priest in providing staff, volunteers and parishioners within the parish community a greater understanding of what safeguarding means and how it can be implemented within the parish.

Every six months, the SSO is required to submit an up-to-date volunteer register to the Sydney Catholic Archdiocese. To help keep this register current, please ensure your safeguarding training is completed and up to date. Safeguarding refresher training is required every three years, and it's also important to keep your Working With Children Check (WWCC) valid and current. Your cooperation is essential in maintaining a safe and welcoming parish environment.

PSSOs aren’t responsible for handling complaints directly. If anyone has a concern or complaint, it’s best to refer it to the Parish Priest or the Archdiocese Safeguarding Office so it can be properly addressed.
